"Since I was a little girl, being a stylist was the only thing I ever wanted to do. I still love it 38 years later so I think it's safe to say I made the right choice. I love everything about doing hair and have a special passion for coloring and foiling. The best part about spending my career in this neighborhood salon is, without a doubt, all the wonderful people I have the privilege of meeting.

I love all things antique and vintage so in 2025 I created Vintage Avenue as a place to sell beautiful jewelry and other pretty things I couldn't resist. Be sure to check out the display at your next visit!

Outside of work I love spending time with my husband Mike, our children and especially our granddaughter! We are loyal Bulldog hockey fans and love antiquing."

Stylist Rachael Johnson
Rachael came to Avenue 45, at the start of 2018, she started in the beauty industry in 2013. She has worked in a couple area salons during her career. In her most recent position she served as the salon manager. Rachael is also a color educator for Framesi.
"I remember when I was younger I loved doing my mom and her friend's hair. I've always wanted a career where I can help people, doing this I get to make people feel beautiful every day. I'm most passionate about color, especially vivids, formal updos and men's cuts. I live by the motto "your hair is your crown you never take off."

Hi! I'm Cassie or Cassandra, Cass, Sassy etc.
I have been blesssed to be part of the Avenue 45 team for over 11 of my 14 years in the hair industry, that began in 2011, fresh out of high school. My "maybe I will like this" plan stuck! Which was a bit of a surprise to most considering I love the outdoors and spent extra time in the garage learning mechanics.

I love to provide color, cut and nail services,
especially the spa pedi.

Outside of the salon I have a husband, two boys and dogs. I spend the majority of my time being outside and am a member of the Normanna Volunteer Fire Department.

"As of 2025 I have been a hairdresser for 25 years!
I grew up in Duluth but lived in the White mountains of Az for 12 years, the last 7 yrs of which I owned a small salon. I moved back to MN in 2022 and started at Ave 45 in December of that year.
My claim to fame is woman's short cuts and dealing with cowlicks. I can help people navigate changes in their hair due to hormonal changes, such as teens during puberty, post pregnancy and pre and post menopause.
I love the science of hair and will bore you to death with details if you ask me a questions. Feel free to ask though!
